bridgeCU will work to bridge the gap between political parties, teaching University of Colorado students how to focus on the pros and cons of specific issues rather than getting caught up in issues as “liberal” or “conservative.”  By working together to plan events, host speakers, and partner with the surrounding community, bridgeCU will reach out to a number of students and community members, teaching them about the concept of transpartisanship, what it means to be an active listener, and how they can become a part of the transpartisan movement.  This club will also encourage meaningful conversations by creating an open, productive space for students to share their views on controversial issues and to generate innovative ideas for addressing issues facing the community, state, and country.  Once established, this chapter of bridgeCU plans to spread to different universities across Colorado - and eventually across the United States - to support the national transpartisan movement.
